How do I preview my app changes without making them live?

Ready to test changes you've made in the VidApp Builder on your app? You can do this in a safe and test-friendly environment either via TestFlight or the VidApp Preview app

TestFlight

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, Install Apple's TestFlight app here. This app is only available on Apple devices

  2. Log into Apple Store Connect and go to your app then click on TestFlight

  3. Click on the External Testing group (usually named External)
  4. Copy the public link and send this to your device
  5. Open the public link on your iPhone or iPad and it should automatically open the TestFlight app
  6. Accept & install the app on your device
  7. This app will now operate like the normal app but can be used to view changes that are published to preview rather than the live app

Note: The TestFlight version of your app will be installed over the Live app on your device.

 

VidApp Preview app

  1. Install the VidApp preview app here (only available on Apple devices)
  2. Log into the app using your VidApp login details (the same ones used for the Builder)
  3. The preview state of your app will load and will replicate the functions similar to the real app

Note: This is a slightly less accurate representation of how the app will function in the Live environment and is best used in the early stages of your app build when TestFlight is not available
