Analytics provide insights into how your app is being used. Analytics are organized into two categories; Viewership and Engagement which both have their own pages in VidApp.
Analytics - Viewership
Viewership is where you can get insight into what videos are (and aren’t) performing, and how your users are watching your content.
There are four key analytics:
- Total Plays: Total number of times all videos have been played
- Total Completions: Total number of times all videos have been completed* *(To be “completed” a video must be watched to at least 90% or manually marked complete by the user)
- Average Watched: The average percentage that all videos have been watched by all users
- Total Minutes Watched: The total number of minutes of video watched by all users
For a more detailed breakdown on how individual videos are performing, you can click ‘View Full Report’ in the top right of the Viewership page. This will navigate you to the Video Analytics table which you can export as a CSV file via the Export CSV File button in the top right of the table.
Analytics - Engagement
The Engagement page is where you will get insights into how app users are saving, commenting, and scheduling your content. There are three key analytics:
- Saved To Playlists: Total number of videos saved to a playlist i.e. Favorites, Watch Later, Custom Playlist, etc.
- Comments: Total number of comments made in your app.* (*Note this excludes any comments made by users on your website)
- Scheduled To Calendar: Total number of times any video has been scheduled in the Calendar feature.
📎 You can adjust the time increment (daily, weekly, monthly) and the time period (last 7, 30, 90 or 365 days) of the key analytics, graph and table via the dropdowns in the top right of the page.
