How can I update the pricing for my In-App Subscriptions?

Over time, you may find the need to update the pricing of your in-app subscription. In this article, you can find the steps to do so for both Apple and Google:

Google

  1. Login to your Google Console account here:  https://play.google.com/console/u/0/developers/
  2. Click on your app
  3. Go to Monetize in the left-side menu
  4. Go to Products and select Subscriptions

  1. click the → for View Subscription next to the subscription you are changing

  1. click → for “view base plan”

  1. click “Set prices”

  1. select the checkbox next to “country / region” to select all 

  1. click “set price” to the bottom right

  1. set the currency for all prices to be based on (Google will auto-convert all other currencies)

  1. set the price and click “update”
  2. click “save changes”

Notes for Google:

  • Price decreases will automatically apply to all users at their next renewal
  • Price increases will not apply to existing users by default. Existing users must be explicitly migrated to the new price point if you wish to apply it to them. 

 

Apple

  1. Login to https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/apps/
  2. click on the app
  3. go to Monetization in the left side menu and click Subscriptions

  1. click on the subscription group
  2. click on the subscription you want to change
  3. click on the + icon next to “subscription prices” and select “plan subscription price change”

  1. select countries (if required) and click “next”
  2. set the start date for the price change
  3. set the currency for all prices to be based on (Apple will auto-convert all other currencies)
  4. set the price and click “next”
  5. confirm prices and click “next” again”
  6. If increasing the price, select whether you want existing subscribers to keep the current price or apply the increase to these users, then click “next”
  7. click “confirm”

Notes for Apple:

  • Price decreases will automatically apply to all users at their next renewal
  • Price changes take effect after a minimum of 24 hours when selecting the next day. 

 

 

Important:

Do not make any other changes to the subscriptions as this may affect the connection to the app or may not be supported at this stage. Please contact our support team if you have any other queries
