Circuit Workouts allow you to organize short workout videos into dynamic, engaging circuits—similar to the HIIT workouts your members already love.
This format gives your audience a fresh way to experience your content, while giving you, as a creator, the flexibility to repurpose short, soundless videos into a variety of workout routines.
What makes Circuit Workouts unique:
- Two Flexible Formats: Choose between reps-based circuits or time-based circuits to match different workout styles and goals.
- Built-in Rest Periods: Add rest intervals between circuits to create a balanced and effective workout experience.
- At Your Own Pace: Members can follow reps-based circuits at their preferred speed, offering flexibility and control.
- Repurpose Your Content: Transform your existing videos into new circuit workouts weekly, keeping your content fresh and engaging.
To help you get started, this guide will walk you through:
- How to configure a Circuit Workout
- Where to find your Circuit Workout
- How to start creating your own Circuit Workout
Circuit Workout Configuration
Before setting up your Circuit Workout, familiarize yourself with the Circuit Workout Configuration section in the Builder, found inside the Content tab.
Within this section, you’ll find the following subsections:
Workout Overview Categories
This page reflects the Filters you’ve already set up in the Builder. The categories you see here match the ones in your Filters section. Later, when assigning tags to your Circuit Workout, those tags will depend on the categories you set for each filter.
You have four categories to define, which will be displayed as part of the workout description in the app.
Example:
- Categories set by the creator: Avg. Time, Intensity, Focus, Unconventional Tools
- Tags chosen when creating the circuit: 60 mins, Moderate, Upper Body, Kettlebell/Bands/Bodyweight
Note: Tags are selected during the actual creation of the Circuit Workout.
Label
You can customize four labels to control how buttons and text appear inside the workout experience:
-
Round Label: Appears next to the circuit name in the app, showing how many times the circuit will repeat.
-
Next Label: Appears during an exercise, allowing users to tap and move to the next exercise.
-
Skip Label: Appears during rest periods, allowing users to skip the rest interval and continue immediately.
- Done Label: Appears on the final video of the workout, transitioning the user to the Finish Page.'
Workout Imagery
Upload an image for the intro and end screen of your workout. This helps set the tone for the session and provides a polished start and finish experience. Choose a high-quality image that reflects the style and intensity of the workout.
Finish Workout
Enter a message to display at the end of the workout. Motivational messages help reinforce achievement and encourage members to return. Examples:
- “Congratulations!”
- “You Did It!”
- “Great Job Completing Today’s Workout!”
Audio Cues
Upload audio cues to play at the beginning of each exercise video:
- “Ready” audio – plays first
- “Go” audio – plays immediately after
These cues guide users into each exercise, creating a structured and engaging experience.
Default Rest Times
Define the default rest and transition times throughout your workout:
- Pre-Exercise Count-In Time Default: Short countdown before each exercise begins.
- Inter-Round Rest Default: Rest period between repeating rounds of the same circuit.
- Inter-Circuit Rest Default: Rest period between different circuits within the workout.
Proper rest times ensure smooth transitions and allow users adequate recovery.

If you expand the first circuit, Legs, you’ll see that it consists of 5 videos.
- This circuit is rep-based, and each video is set to 10 reps. Users will perform 10 repetitions of the exercise and then tap Next in the app to move on to the following exercise.
- The circuit is configured to repeat 2 times, meaning it has 2 rounds.
- The Count-in is set to 5 seconds which means there will be a 5 second count down in the app before te exercise starts.
This setup allows your members to complete the full circuit structure with the intended number of repetitions and rounds, ensuring a consistent and engaging workout experience.
If you expand the Arm circuit, you’ll see that it is a time-based circuit. This means each video is performed for a set duration—30 seconds by default, which you can adjust based on your preference.
- This circuit is repeated 2 times.
- A 5-second count-in is set at the start of each video, giving users a brief countdown before the exercise begins.
This setup ensures users follow the intended workout timing while maintaining a smooth and structured experience.
Step 5: Add a Thumbnail
After creating the workout plan, upload a thumbnail so it displays properly inside the app. This helps members quickly identify the workout and improves the overall user experience.
