Your WordPress subscriptions (or products) used to grant members access to your content across your WordPress site can also be used to grant content access across your app. Here's how to ensure your app users experience the same content accessibility inside your app as they do inside your website:
- Log into the VidApp Builder
- Click In-App Products
- If the WordPress subscription has already been added, click it. Otherwise, click Create new product to add your WordPress subscription. A right-sided tab bar will then appear
- You can ignore the Purchase Type, this is only relevant if the product is sold within the app via native in-app purchases.
- Select the Data Source to match your WordPress subscription platform (e.g., MemberPress)
- Set the Source Offer ID to match your WordPress subscription (e.g., 12345)
- Select the Included Collections to match the content included in your WordPress subscription (you can hold CTRL/Command on your keyboard while clicking to select multiple items)
- Click Save
- Set the Internal Title on your newly created Product to match the title on your website
- You can ignore External Title as this is only relevant for in-app purchases.
- Toggle on Logs In on your newly created Product
- Click Save
Important note:
If you make any changes to your WordPress subscription(s) inside of your WordPress site, such as adding new content for members to access, you'll need to update the Product inside the VidApp Builder to reflect the changes and ensure members are accessing the correct content inside your app.
