VidApp requires that Apple Devices are running iOS 12.5.4 and above with Android devices running Android 6 and above.
Why?
Apple has released iOS 14.5 for devices that are over 6 years old - this includes models such as the iPhone 6s. By this mark, we offer support to any iPhone 5s and up and iPad Air 2nd generation up.
For Android, Google does not offer updates or security support for Android 7 and below.
This decision was made as Android devices do not receive the same long term support from their manufacturers as Apple’s products, typically receiving updates for around 3 years post-release compared to Apple's 6 years. Ultimately, it ensures that members are able to access content safely and keeps the experience consistent and predictable.
